Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to act as a technical representative across two key project sites in Germany and Spain.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the client-side technical representative across both project locations
• Conduct and support technical reviews of externally delivered system designs
• Lead and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
• Support on-site commissioning activities
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery
• Provide senior-level engineering oversight and decision-making

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Automation/Control Systems Engineer
• Strong working knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC systems
• Experience working with externally delivered automation systems
• Demonstrated experience in FAT and commissioning
• Background in the chemical industry and batch production environments
• Ability to operate independently while collaborating with wider teams
• Willingness to travel regularly between Germany and Spain
• German and/or Spanish language skills
• Previous experience working across multiple European project sites

Additional Information

The contractor can be based locally to Germany or Yorkshire, with travel required to both project locations.
