Job summary

Marmon Foodservice Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead the technical direction of highly automated manufacturing operations in McAllen, TX.

You will establish automation standards, review machine concepts, and ensure successful deployment of robotics, controls, and vision systems. You will drive FAT/SAT activities, collaborate with Process, Quality, and Industrial Engineering teams, and manage suppliers to deliver projects on schedule with high equipment

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics) required.
• 8+ years of automation engineering experience.
• Experience implementing robotic assembly systems.
• Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and Fanuc robotics.
• Experience with machine vision and FAT/SAT activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation standards for manufacturing equipment.
• Lead RFQs, technical reviews, FATs, and SATs.
• Manage automation integrators and equipment suppliers.
• Define controls architecture and machine safety standards.
• Support commissioning and startup activities and optimize performance.
