Job summary

OPmobility SE is seeking an Assembly Automation Specialist to support robotics-driven assembly processes in the Fairfax/Kansas City area. The role requires 2–3 years in assembly and strong robotics expertise, including FANUC robots and Roboguide.

Responsibilities include validating automated solutions, performing audits, and assisting operations in tuning and retrofitting equipment. Travel to USA and Mexico projects may be required.

Qualifications

• Engineering Technician or Master in Automatism and Robotics required.
• 2–3 years in assembly field at plant or supplier.
• Advanced experience in robotics and automatism.
• Knowledge of HSE/ergonomics.
• Knowledge in robotics: FANUC robot, Roboguide, PLC/HMI, vision systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply and promote HSE and quality policies.
• Support operations and address issues on assembly processes/equipment.
• Audit automation on equipment/cell and adjust robot programs.
• Contribute to design for manufacturing and supplier sourcing.
• Validate and commission robotized applications and standards.

Job description

• Physical location: Fairfax Site - Kansas City

Responsibilities :

ASSEMBLY AUTOMATION

• Applies and promotes application of HSE and quality policies and procedures including :
• Follow up and promote HSE validation
• Assistance to operations:
• Supports operations in case of major or new issue on assembly processes/equipment, including :
• Automation audit on equipment/cell
• Robot/automation program ADJUSTMENT during tuning phase/retrofit/re-use
• Participates in operations productivity workshops
• Customer/Industrial projects activities :
• Validates technical feasibility of robotics aspects and participate to design for manufacturing if required
• Supports the definition of equipment specifications & supplier sourcing
• Supports the validation and commissioning of robotized applications following development of robotic equipment standard (functional analysis, validation plan , project report and so on)
• Ensures methodological and technical standards are applied in all the projects
• Consolidates lessons learnt from the projects into metier best practices and standards
• Contribute to robotic network activities linked to central roadmap
• Participate during definition/ define of technical standards,
• Industrializes validated solutions,

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Engineering Technician with experience or Engineering Master degree in Automatism and Robotics
• 2/3 years of experience in assembly field in plant or equipment supplier or other automotive tier 1 supplier as assembly equipment project manager.
• Advanced experience in robotics and automatism
• Good understanding of HSE/ergonomics
• Knowledge in Robotics:

FANUC robot : TPE language , simulation Roboguide software

• Knowledge in PLC/HMI :
• Vision Cameras, AI and others
• Good communication skills, team player, English language
• Willingness to travel. Support of projects both in the USA as well as Mexico
