Job summary

Brooksource is seeking Automation Engineers to join a Salesforce development team in Indianapolis on a 12-month hybrid W2 contract. You will design and maintain automated tests across Service Cloud and Experience Cloud to support digital platform reliability.

You will collaborate with Salesforce Developers, QA, and Business Analysts, building Playwright scripts, integrating tests into CI/CD, and staying current with automation best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience building automated test scripts with Playwright.
  • Solid understanding of unit testing, test automation, and TDD.
  • Experience with Git, SVN and integrating tests into CI/CD.
  • Strong collaboration in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and attention to detail.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Playwright.
  • Develop and execute unit tests and UI automation for Salesforce components, APIs, and integrated systems.
  • Partner with Salesforce Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to translate requirements into automated tests.
  • Ensure automated tests are integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct regression, functional, and end-to-end testing across releases.
  • Log defects and collaborate with developers to drive timely fixes.
  • Participate in code reviews and sprint ceremonies within an Agile Scrum team.
  • Stay current with evolving automation tools and Salesforce testing best practices.

About the Opportunity

Brooksource's client is seeking an Automation Engineers to join their growing Salesforce development team. This is an exciting opportunity to support ongoing technology modernization initiatives and system enhancements within a highly collaborative environment.

These Automation Engineers will work closely with Salesforce Developers and QA teams in an agile environment to enhance and maintain automated testing frameworks across multiple Salesforce Clouds, including Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, and Experience Cloud. You'll help ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of critical business applications and integrations that support customer-facing digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Playwright and related testing tools.
  • Develop and execute unit tests and UI automation for Salesforce components, APIs, and integrated systems.
  • Partner with Salesforce Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated test cases.
  • Ensure all automated tests are properly integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct thorough regression, functional, and end-to-end testing to ensure system reliability across releases.
  • Identify, log, and track defects, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies as part of an Agile Scrum team.
  • Stay current with evolving automation tools, frameworks, and Salesforce testing best practices.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong experience building and executing automated test scripts using Playwright.
  • Solid understanding of unit testing, test automation, and test-driven development (TDD) methodologies.
  • Experience using version control systems (Git, SVN) and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail in validating complex system integrations.
  • Experience working with data modeling, SQL, and relational databases.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Selenium or other automation testing frameworks.
  • Background in API testing with tools such as Postman or ReadyAPI.
  • Familiarity with cloud telephony integrations.
  • Experience testing within AWS or .NET environments.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce data structures, APIs, and Lightning components.
  • Experience performing automation testing within Salesforce environments, including Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
  • Salesforce Certifications (Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer I) are a plus.
