This is an execution‑focused role ideal for someone with solid Power Platform experience who is comfortable working directly with clients and implementing solutions using established patterns and guidance.

Role Overview

BabyBots is seeking an Automation Engineer to build and implement client solutions using Microsoft’s Power Platform and Azure services. This role combines low‑code/no‑code development with the integration of Azure AI capabilities to support intelligent, scalable business applications for enterprise and mid‑market clients.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and solution architects to deliver automation, analytics, and AI‑powered experiences using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Azure SQL, and Azure AI Foundry‑based services.

Key Responsibilities
Power Platform & Automation Development
  • Design, build, test, and deploy scalable solutions using Power Apps (Canvas & Model‑Driven), Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
  • Implement workflows, approvals, and integrations to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Support ongoing enhancements and optimization of client solutions.
Azure AI & Intelligent Solutions
  • Implement AI‑enabled capabilities using Azure AI services (e.g., Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services) following approved solution designs.
  • Configure AI‑assisted workflows such as document processing, summarization, classification, and decision support.
  • Support responsible AI practices, monitoring, and prompt management within governed enterprise environments.
Data & Database Integration
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Azure SQL, SQL Server, and other data sources.
  • Work with existing data models and assist in data transformations using SQL and Power Query.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and senior team members on data‑related requirements.
API & Custom Integration Development
  • Implement integrations using custom connectors, APIs, and Azure Functions based on existing integration patterns.
  • Support system‑to‑system integrations with internal and third‑party services.
Requirements & Solution Design
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement technical solutions.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and implement components based on approved architectures.
  • Support testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.
Quality, Security & Compliance
  • Test applications and workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Follow established security, governance, and deployment standards.
  • Maintain documentation for applications, configurations, and integrations.
Documentation, Enablement & Support
  • Assist with end‑user training, documentation, and post‑deployment support.
  • Support solution handoff and knowledge transfer activities.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
  • Experience with SQL development and relational data concepts.
  • Experience integrating APIs, web services, and external systems.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a client‑facing, delivery‑oriented environment.
Preferred / Nice to Have
  • Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or other Azure AI services.
  • Familiarity with LLM‑based solutions, prompt engineering, embeddings, or AI‑assisted workflows.
  • Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or other Azure PaaS services.
  • Microsoft certifications (Power Platform, Azure, or AI) are a plus.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work on cutting‑edge automation and AI initiatives for enterprise and mid‑market clients.
  • Ongoing professional development and Microsoft ecosystem training.
  • A collaborative, high‑performance culture focused on innovation and ownership.
  • Clear growth paths within a rapidly scaling automation and AI consultancy.
