Job summary

Walker Lovell is seeking a technically strong automation engineer to lead improvements across multiple industrial sites in the US. You will influence automation strategy, support digital transformation initiatives, and ensure reliable plant operations while hands-on with control systems and data reporting.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial automation, with expertise in Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and industrial networking, in heavy industrial environments. On-site with travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in industrial automation or control systems engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC platforms, HMI/SCADA, and industrial networking.
  • Experience in heavy industrial environments such as mining, minerals, cement, or lime.

Responsibilities

  • Lead automation and process control improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and network issues across sites.
  • Support automation upgrades, plant network projects, and digital transformation initiatives.
