Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems and processes.
  • Lead design and software reviews of projects to ensure automation system deliverables are met.
  • Program and troubleshoot industrial control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, contractors, and relevant authorities.
  • Manage projects within cost and time constraints.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve automation issues.
  • Create and interpret schematics for automation equipment.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting assistance, and guidance to customers and contractors.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or 5 years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems and technologies.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Rockwell, and Wonderware Intouch.
  • Experience with distributed control systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical knowledge and understanding of automated processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for designing electrical schematics and flow sheets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment and as part of a team.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
