We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support the programming, integration, troubleshooting, and optimization of robotic and automated manufacturing systems within a high-precision aerospace and defense environment.
Program, troubleshoot, and optimize FANUC industrial robotic systems and automated manufacturing equipment.
Develop and modify robot programs, automation sequences, and process logic.
Support robotic welding, material handling, machine tending, automated assembly, and vision-system applications.
Troubleshoot robotic, electrical, controls, communication, and automation issues.
Work with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, servos, motion controls, and industrial communication networks.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC logic, control drawings, and technical documentation.
Support equipment commissioning, factory acceptance testing, startups, validation, and new equipment integration.
Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams on automation improvements.
Support NPI activities, tooling and fixture integration, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Maintain robotic backups, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance procedures.
5+ years of industrial automation, robotics, or controls experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong hands‑on FANUC robotics experience, including programming, teach pendant operation, troubleshooting, and system integration.
Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, servos, motion control, and industrial automation systems.
Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment and electrical/control systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC logic, and control drawings.
Experience with robotic welding, automated assembly, machine tending, or material handling systems strongly preferred.
Aerospace, defense, automotive, or other high‑reliability manufacturing experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree from an ABET‑accredited university in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
FANUC robotics certifications.
PLC programming or industrial automation certifications.
Vision‑system integration experience.
Experience commissioning and integrating robotic cells and automated manufacturing equipment.
