EQVAL Group, Inc. seeks Automation Engineers to support validation and implementation activities for automated equipment.

The role collaborates with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, high-quality results on site in Añasco, Puerto Rico. Responsibilities include validating equipment, developing URS, FAT, IQ, and supporting troubleshooting, PLC systems, and transition of manual processes to automation.

Formación

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Experience in regulated pharma/biotech/medical devices
• Experience with automated manufacturing systems and equipment
• Experience with automation/controls, tooling, fixtures, test method development
• Fully bilingual English/Spanish
• Good technical writing skills

Responsabilidades

• Perform validation activities for automated equipment and systems throughout the lifecycle
• Develop and execute validation documentation (URS, FAT, IQ)
• Support validation of complex automated equipment ensuring quality/regulatory compliance
• Troubleshoot and debug automation systems; support programming activities
• Work with PLC-controlled systems and automation technologies (pick-and-place)
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and cross-functional teams
• Support transition of manual processes to automated solutions and validate implementations
• Prepare and maintain technical and validation documents throughout projects
• Assist with new process development and automated manufacturing implementation

We work with an extraordinary group of professionals (employees and contractors) to accomplish the requirements established by our customers, in order to perform and provide a highly effective service.

We are seeking Automation Engineers to support validation and implementation activities associated with automated equipment. The role will work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Perform validation activities for automated equipment and systems throughout the implementation and qualification lifecycle.
• Developand execute validation documentation, including User Requirements Specifications (URS), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Installation Qualification (IQ), and related validation deliverables.
• Support the validation of highly complex automated equipment, ensuring documentation and activities meet established quality and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and debug automation systems to identify technical issues and support timely resolution.
• Support programming and technical troubleshooting activities associated with automated equipment.
• Work with PLC-controlled systems and automation technologies, including pick-and-place equipment.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to support the implementation of automated processes.
• Support the transition of existing manual processes to automated solutions, including equipment implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Prepare and maintain accurate technical and validation documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support activities associated with new process development and implementation of automated manufacturing processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

• Previous experience in regulated industry (Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Devices).
• Experience with automated manufacturing system and equipment.
• Experience with automation/controls, tooling, fixtures, test method development.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and project-oriented environment.
• Good technical writing skills.
• Fully bilingual (English and Spanish).

*This position will be full-time 100% on site in Añasco, Puerto Rico.
