General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is seeking an experienced Automation Engineering Sr. Technician - 2nd Shift to join our Lincoln, NE team. We are expanding rapidly and seek motivated, creative individuals to support and shape our growth.

GD-OTS offers reliable, affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With over 60 years of expertise, we design, develop, manufacture, and test a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes, and fuel tanks.

Major Position Responsibilities
  • Assist engineers in developing and implementing automation systems or components.
  • Program, install, test, and maintain robots or automated components.
  • Assist in commissioning and deploying new automation installations, conduct field trials, and document findings.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot defects, perform repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance.

Manager Specific Requests:

  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
  • Read and understand equipment schematics.
  • Design simple electronic control systems, specify control equipment, and install control systems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Vocational/Technical Training Degree with 3-5 years' experience OR equivalent relevant education and experience.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree
