Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking an E&A Specialist to manage, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot advanced automation systems in a manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes diagnosing electronics, upgrading automation software, and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include using Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms, reading blueprints, and training other electronics personnel. The position requires 40 hours/week with potential overtime and a strong emphasis on GMP and safety.

Qualifications

  • Strong electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley hardware/software required.
  • Knowledge of HMI programming and PLC systems.
  • Experience in RSLogix 5000.
  • Must observe GMPs and safety rules.
  • Willing to work 40 hours with overtime.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Industrial automation networks knowledge.
  • Read blueprints and vendor instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses and isolates Advanced Automation equipment and systems.
  • Upgrades and programs Advanced Automation Systems.
  • Troubleshoots control issues with drives/PLC components and makes modifications.
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical/electronic systems.
  • Maintains safety postings and identification on equipment.
  • Reads schematics and vendor instructions to guide repair procedures.
  • Remains adaptable to new technologies and teaches others as needed.
  • Works with maintenance to repair in-house automation down to component level.
  • Manages daily workload and production support duties.
  • Ensures reliability and minimizes downtime through effective repairs.
