Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a high performing automation digital transformation engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. You will develop automation solutions, maintain complex systems, and collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot and set up solutions.

Requires a BS in engineering, 3+ years in coding and automation, and strong Linux, Python, and database skills. This on-site role offers a competitive base salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years experience with coding and automation.
• Prior experience understanding complex system interactions.
• Proven technical troubleshooting skills.
• Intermediate experience with Python and familiarity with numpy, scipy, polars.
• Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes.
• Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases (Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra preferred).
• Familiarity with Linux and basic operations.

Position Summary

This engineer will work within a fast-paced manufacturing small team environment, supporting both internal and external department customers. The applicant must be highly motivated, enjoy solving very difficult problems, and maintain a high level of customer service.

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need:

The current base salary range for this role is between $83,000 - $206,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
