Job summary

HellermannTyton is offering an Automation Intern position in Milwaukee, WI. You will work under the Director of Automation with a design-focused team on robotic EOATs and in-house automated systems development.

You will gain hands-on experience in design, operation, and controls, supporting ISO and quality certifications while collaborating with design, assembly, and controls engineering to improve processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Enrolled in college courses in science or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of Robotic EOATs and other misc. designs, meeting engineering standards and customer specs.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers and the Director of Automation on custom parts in a team environment.
• Ensure conformance to ASME Codes, IATF16949, and company standards for quality and manufacturability.
• Assist in improving design to enhance quality and productivity while reducing costs.
• Analyze engineering drawings to detect errors in design and documents.
• Assist with Enterprise PDM SolidWorks data system usage for vaults and document control.
• Initiate open purchases and capital purchase orders as required.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing, design, and quality issues and drive process improvements.
• Follow all housekeeping procedures and comply with quality and safety regulations.
