Job summary

Mission Technologies is seeking a versatile Data Scientist / Power Platform Developer to blend advanced analytics with low-code automation. The role delivers insights, automates workflows, and builds scalable applications using Python/R, ML, and the Power Platform across stakeholders.

Responsibilities include creating dashboards with Power BI, deploying models, and integrating data sources like Dataverse, SharePoint, and SQL.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Python or R for data modeling, machine learning, and data manipulation.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Proficiency building solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Experience with data visualization and reporting strategies.
• Ability to integrate business requirements into practical analytical or automation solutions.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills—able to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets from various sources.
• Develop, validate, and refine predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
• Build dashboards, visualizations, and reports that communicate insights to leadership.
• Conduct statistical analysis, design experiments, and evaluate model performance.
• Partner with business units to identify data-driven opportunities or pain points.
• Deploy models into production and maintain ongoing monitoring of performance.
• Translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Design, build, and maintain Power Apps to support business processes and user needs.
• Create automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
• Develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI.
• Integrate applications with data sources (Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, APIs).
• Implement governance, security roles, and best practices for Power Platform environments.
• Troubleshoot app issues, optimize performance, and support end users.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prototype solutions quickly.
• Document system configurations, workflows, and development standards.
