Job summary

URBN is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated systems, conveyors, and facility equipment. This role serves as a primary responder to equipment issues and supports preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives.

The position requires reliability, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read schematics; candidates should have 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience and familiarity with CMMS, VFDs, sensors, and PLC basics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (technical training).
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with automation, conveyors, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and perform basic PLC troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment (up to 480V).
• Maintain motors, VFDs, sensors, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot automation systems (conveyors, sortation, ASRS, packaging).
• Resolve jams, sensor faults, and minor electrical or pneumatic failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system calibrations.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics; perform basic PLC/HMI diagnostics.
• Document work orders and maintenance activities in CMMS.
• Identify equipment issues and support continuous improvement and RCA efforts.
• Collaborate with team members, vendors, and support staff; assist junior technicians.
