Job summary

Nbutexas is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer in LaOtto, IN to lead custom automation projects from electrical design through commissioning and startup. You’ll work with PLCs, robotics, vision systems, and motion control, collaborating with mechanical engineering and manufacturing teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on programming with Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms, electrical schematics, and safety systems, with travel to customer sites as needed. A 5+ year background is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial controls, automation, or electrical engineering experience.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500 and Studio 5000.
• Experience programming Siemens Step 7 Professional and TIA Portal.

Responsibilities

• Develop controls architecture for custom automated equipment and customer projects.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI applications for new machinery.
• Design electrical schematics and select appropriate controls hardware.
• Integrate robotics, vision systems, servos, VFDs, sensors, and safety devices.
