Job summary
Becton, Dickinson and Company is seeking an Electrical/Controls Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment on the day shift in our Connecticut facility. You will diagnose electrical and control system issues, read schematics, and fix wiring, PLCs, and robotics to keep the line running smoothly.
The role requires hands-on experience with electrical fundamentals, debugging skills, and strong communication with operators and team leads.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED with electrical experience or Vocational/Technical schooling in electrical fundamentals
- 1 year electrical-related experience or associate degree with 6 months experience
- Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring to prints
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues on production equipment
- Read machine schematics and wiring diagrams
- Troubleshoot PLCs, ladder logic, and drives
- Support PM activities and routine maintenance
- Repair material handling systems and automation
- Document work in logs and reports
- Communicate priority and status to leadership
- Maintain safe, clean work environment
