Job summary

Camaco in Columbus is seeking an Engineering Controls Technician to support automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume automotive production facility. You will troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, robotic cells, and electrical controls to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years experience in automated manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic PLC troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley preferred).
• Support robotic welding cells (Fanuc preferred).
• Diagnose electrical, sensor, and control system issues.
• Assist with HMI updates and control modifications.
• Support preventive maintenance and downtime reduction efforts.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic.
