Unilever Jefferson City is seeking an Automation & Controls Specialist to lead electrical projects and PLC programming for our packaging and process operations. You will diagnose PLC and instrumentation issues, maintain PLC hardware, and apply NEC standards to improve safety and productivity.

The role requires 3–5 years in a maintenance-focused position, strong PLC knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Formación

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; higher degree desirable
• 3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance related position
• Working knowledge of PLCs
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics

Responsabilidades

• Implement projects and improvements (electrical/PLC) for new products and safety.
• Diagnose/test PLC and instrumentation problems.
• Maintain and configure PLC hardware.
• Understand PLC ladder logic and NEC requirements.
• Maintain VFDs, DC drives and servo motors.
• All other duties as assigned

Automation & Controls Specialist

Location: Jefferson City, MO

Shift Assignment: (B )12-hour shift, 2/2/3 schedule- 6:00 pm - 6:15 am

Pay: $37.57 per hour, plus a shift differential of $6.76 per hour, paid weekly

What You'll Do

• Implement Projects/ Improvement (electrical project/ PLC programming) to accommodate new product and/ or improve safety, operational quality and productivity.Diagnose/ test PLC and Instrumentation problems,
• Diagnose/ Test equipment to correct malfunctions and makes improvement to accommodate new product and/ or improve safety, operational quality and productivity.
• Maintain and configure Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) hardware
• Understand PLC ladder logic: can implement automation solutions within the PLC code
• Understand and apply National Electric Code (NEC) requirements
• Maintain and configure Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), DC drives and servo motors
• Perform more advanced PLC ladder logic programming such as PID loop control and sequencers
• All other duties as assigned

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent; higher degree in related area is desirable
• 3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance related position is required
• Working knowledge of PLCs is a must
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
