Job summary

Louisville MSD is seeking an Automation Controls Supervisor to lead the Automation Controls Specialists and Industrial Controls Technicians in Louisville, KY. This role supports the engineering division on capital projects and ensures reliable control systems across the district.

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Five or more years of related experience.
• ISA certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months.
• Must have an acceptable and reliable means of being contacted during off-duty hours.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have safe work and driving habits.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supervises the Automation Controls Specialists and Industrial Controls Technicians.
• Provides support to the engineering division for the automation of capital projects including Real Time Control, wet weather and Consent Decree projects.
• Maintains the controls network including SCADA and remote telemetry for all 370 pump stations, regional facilities, flood pump stations, CSO's, and RTC.

What You’ll Bring with You (Requirements/Qualifications)

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field; five or more years of related experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Must be ISA certified or able to obtain it within 12 months of eligibility.
• Must have an acceptable and reliable means of being contacted during off-duty hours.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have safe work and driving habits.
