Gossner Foods, Inc. in Logan, UT seeks a Controls Specialist to maintain automation across UHT and cheese lines, with focus on Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs.

You will read PLC logic across platforms and support upgrades of legacy dairy equipment to ensure product quality and food safety. In this role you will support CIP, pasteurization, homogenization, and packaging controls, collaborating with QA, Maintenance, and Production teams to meet HACCP and SQF standards; some travel to the Heyburn

Formación

• Proven experience programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
• Read and interpret PLC logic across multiple platforms/brands.
• Experience upgrading/retrofitting legacy control systems in dairy/food env.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and ladder logic.
• Troubleshoot temperature-critical and sanitation-critical controls (pasteurization/CIP).
• Work in washdown, cold/hot processing zones of dairy environment.
• Diagnose issues quickly to minimize downtime on continuous-run lines.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a regulated production setting.

Responsabilidades

• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC and HMI systems (Allen-Bradley).
• Read/interpret PLC logic across Siemens, Omron, GE platforms.
• Support controls on UHT processing, aseptic filling, pasteurization, homogenization.
• Maintain cheese manufacturing controls for vats, brining, cutting, packaging.
• Troubleshoot CIP and sanitation controls for food safety compliance.
• Assist upgrades/retrofits of legacy equipment and panel retrofits.
• Diagnose electrical/controls issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, and Production on HACCP/SQF compliance.
• Assist with robotic palletizing and material handling integration as needed.
• Maintain documentation: schematics, backups, change logs.
