Job summary

The Reynolds Company in Odessa, TX seeks an Automation Specialist to act as domain expert on PLCs, HMIs, and Rockwell Automation software. The role includes pre-sales technical support, product training, and coordinating with marketing and sales teams to promote software and controls solutions.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in engineering, Studio 5000 experience, and strong Excel/CRM skills, with travel as needed to support customers and accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent combination of skills, experience, or education.
• Studio 5000 programming experience with Ethernet/IP knowledge is essential.
• HMI, industrial computer and visualization programming experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CMMS and ERP systems.
• Strong Excel/Outlook/Word/CRM skills.
• 4 years of experience with Rockwell Automation products or equivalents.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as domain expert around Software and Controls and build competency.
• Provide pre-sales technical and commercial support to customers and sales team.
• Launch new and existing Software and Controls products; train, demonstrate, and identify target accounts.
• Advise on Rockwell Automation products and configurations; differentiate solutions.
• Develop and implement the Software and Controls business plan for sales growth.
