Job summary

Leprino seeks a Controls Supervisor at our state-of-the-art Lubbock facility to lead plant automation and control systems, driving reliable production and growth in cheese and dairy ingredients.

You will guide a controls team responsible for PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, troubleshoot downtime, coordinate upgrades, and partner with maintenance and engineering to align priorities. Join us to protect uptime, quality, and system health.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial controls experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1+ year of leading, mentoring, or directing others.
• Associate degree in controls engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience supporting PLC-based control systems and plant automation infrastructure.
• Ability to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
• Comfortable using SAP or similar maintenance platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily controls activities supporting safe, reliable production across plant automation systems.
• Guide and develop a controls team responsible for PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and related infrastructure.
• Support troubleshooting and downtime resolution affecting production and utilities.
• Coordinate planned controls upgrades, modifications, and preventive improvements.
• Maintain knowledge of plant processes to diagnose complex automation issues.
• Partner with maintenance, utilities, engineering, and production teams on priorities.
• Reinforce safety, change management, and documentation standards within the controls group.
• Review work orders, schedules, and system issues to improve response time and stability.
• Support commissioning, testing, and startup of new or modified automation systems.
• Communicate controls risks and priorities with plant leadership and corporate team.
• Build a collaborative controls team through coaching and development.
