CONVERGIX Automation Solutions is seeking a Controls Engineering Intern to join our growing team in a collaborative, learning-oriented environment. You will assist with documentation, troubleshooting, and integration tasks while learning from experienced engineers under the guidance of a Controls Engineering Manager.

You will collaborate with the Controls Engineering team and cross-functional groups to support real-world projects, gain hands-on experience with automation systems, and contribute

• Enrolled in a post-secondary engineering program; seeking a summer internship.
• Eagerness to learn while working with a team to develop custom industrial automation systems.
• Willingness to learn through a variety of tasks, challenges, and projects while supporting your team.
• Talented team player capable of working efficiently with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Willingness to own your own small project, ask for help and push forward, embracing failure as a learning step.

Responsibilities

• Utilize cutting edge technology and software to develop software solutions to a variety of industries.
• Support the electrical and mechanical design teams.
• Contribute to 1-5 active and real-world projects on a daily basis.
• Support and contribute to effort of the Controls Engineering team.
• Contribute to automation design, debug and acceptance testing within the department.
• Work closely with your project team to find solutions to achieve targeted functional outcomes within defined budgets and timelines.
• Assist with hands-on assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of custom automation equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting of custom automation equipment.
