Job summary

Matrix Technologies, Inc. in Maumee, OH is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to contribute to the design, programming, testing, and commissioning of PLC-based control systems across multiple industries.

As part of a collaborative automation team, you will develop digital/analog control strategies, graphics, and interfaces while working under mentorship yet moving toward autonomous project execution. Travel up to 25% is anticipated.

Qualifications

Be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
A minimum of 2 years of experience contributing to control system programming/integration or supporting plant control system operations.
Ability to efficiently multitask between multiple projects.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Preference for exposure to Allen-Bradley, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, or Siemens PLC-based control systems.
Experience and/or understanding of Industrial Controls wiring.
Ability to travel by air and car with estimated travel of 25%.

Responsibilities

Assisting the project team with the software development process for PLC-based control systems, including digital/analog control design and interfaces to field instrumentation.
Developing PLC code and HMI graphics, and supporting on-site commissioning and startup.
Contributing to control system check-out and system expansions or new deployments.
