Job summary

Hynes Industries in Youngstown is seeking a Controls & Automation Engineer to design, implement and maintain control systems for advanced manufacturing. You will lead setup and troubleshooting of robotic weld cells, tube lasers, rollformers, and related automation equipment.

You will provide production support, train maintenance personnel, and coordinate preventative maintenance while driving automation-driven process improvements across production lines.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with automation emphasis.
• Design, build, install, and commission automated equipment.
• Strong CAD skills (Inventor preferred).
• PLC programming experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley.
• Ability to troubleshoot automated systems and lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain control and automation systems.
• Lead setup and troubleshooting of robotic weld cells and automation equipment.
• Provide production support and maintain documentation for robot programs and logs.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and improve processes with automation.
• Train maintenance and operators on automated systems.
