Job summary

CRB in Denver is seeking an Automation, Instrumentation and Controls (AIC) Engineer II to design and implement high-performance automation systems supporting manufacturing processes and facility infrastructure.

You will work under guidance of senior engineers, perform control system calculations, develop documentation, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with multiple partners on projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
• Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to execute design tasks and develop automation system deliverables.
• Design automation systems of basic complexity in compliance with codes and standards.
• Perform engineering calculations for control elements, instrumentation selection, and sizing.
• Develop technical documentation including narratives, reports, drawings, and diagrams.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, vendors, and construction trade partners.
• Mentor entry-level engineers and design staff.
• Lead small projects or manage defined scopes of work on larger projects.
