Job summary

Interstates seeks a hands-on Control Systems Developer I to design, program, and launch automation solutions for manufacturing clients. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects that improve operations and efficiency.

The role requires collaboration with electrical engineers, programmers, and information system specialists, with travel up to 35%. A bachelor’s or associate degree in related fields is preferred, and experience in industrial environments is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical) preferred.
• Experience in industrial control software and customer requirements handling.
• Object oriented programming, UI development, databases and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement PLC code for industrial systems.
• Design and configure HMI applications for process control.
• Create thorough project documentation including descriptions and manuals.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and programmers to deliver solutions.
• Commission and launch control systems on-site; provide support and training.
• Build relationships with clients and anticipate needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends to drive improvement and innovation.
• Tackle new challenges and grow with the team.
