Job summary

SPACE EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP in Bastrop, TX seeks an experienced automation engineer to develop and qualify manufacturing equipment. You will own the end-to-end development process including equipment selection, PCL programming, and quality engineering support. A Bachelor's degree in mechanical or controls engineering and at least one year of relevant experience is required. This position includes the possibility of up to 30% travel and extended hours during production ramps.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in automation equipment development or manufacturing line deployment.
• Strong technical background in automation systems and fixturing design.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development and qualification of automation equipment at contract manufacturers.
• Lead equipment and line qualification activities including installation and performance qualifications.
• Perform reactive quality engineering support including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
