Job summary

Rhino Foods, Inc. is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to design, implement, and support automation that keeps manufacturing safe, efficient, and compliant.

You’ll work with production, maintenance, and engineering to identify improvements, optimize processes, and enhance product quality across the facility. You’ll program PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and drives, lead projects, and maintain detailed documentation while ensuring GMP and HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years in manufacturing, food & beverage, or industrial environments.
• Hands-on programming, troubleshooting, and support for PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, motion controls, robotics.
• Experience with machine networking and industrial communication protocols.
• Ability to analyze issues, manage projects, and communicate across teams with GMP/HACCP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems to optimize processes and equipment.
• Program, test, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and drives.
• Lead automation projects from concept through implementation with planning and budgeting.
• Develop technical documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure food safety and regulatory compliance with GMP/HACCP and safety standards.
