Job summary

Danfoss is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer (1st Shift) to support Tallahassee, FL manufacturing. You will design, program, and maintain PLC and HMI systems to improve reliability and throughput, while troubleshooting issues and driving continuous improvements.

Qualifications include a 3+ year background in controls/automation and a Bachelor's in Engineering. This is an on-site, full-time role offering opportunities for growth within a global engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in controls/automation or similar role.
• Experience programming, troubleshooting, and supporting PLC-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, modify, and support PLC and HMI systems to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot electrical/electronic/mechanical/automation issues to minimize downtime.
• Integrate manufacturing equipment with PLCs, MES, and shop-floor tech.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, ergonomics.
