Job description

Join to apply for the Automation Controls Engineer role at Renaissance Lakewood, LLC.

Individuals will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automation systems for utility, processing, filling, inspection, and packaging equipment. The systems will be PLC, SCADA, and PC-based. Responsibilities include system administration (access control, software revision control, backup and recovery), troubleshooting malfunctioning systems, specifying control system requirements, reviewing functional specifications, and troubleshooting vision inspection systems.

The role involves making minor code modifications and updating control system documentation. Candidates should be able to read electrical control diagrams and be comfortable with red-lining as-built conditions. ACAD and networking skills are a plus.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Understanding 21 CFR Part 11, cGMP, and related regulatory guidance.
2. Supporting engineering and design of automated systems.
3. Reading complex ladder logic and understanding PLC/PC controllers.
4. Troubleshooting low voltage control wiring.
5. Working with vision inspection systems and quality processes in a GMP environment.
6. Reviewing vendor documentation and qualification protocols.
7. Supporting qualification and risk assessments of automated systems.
8. Interpreting electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
9. Preparing change controls and assessments for industry compliance.
