Job summary
M4 Control Systems in Brooklyn Park, MN is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to support design, programming, testing, startup, and commissioning of automation projects. You will work with customers, project managers, and engineers to deliver robust control solutions and effective documentation.
Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in industrial automation, proficiency with PLCs and HMIs, and strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and process information.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for customer projects.
- Develop and modify HMI applications for industrial control systems.
- Prepare electrical and control system documentation including layouts and schematics.
- Collaborate with customers and project teams across planning, testing, startup, and commissioning.
- Travel to customer facilities for installation and support.
