Nucor Steel Brandenburg in Brandenburg, KY is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineering Intern to learn with our maintenance and production teams. You will gain hands-on experience in automation, controls, power transmission and pneumatics while contributing to safety, cost and reliability goals.

Rising juniors or seniors will support preventive and predictive maintenance, assist with routine troubleshooting, and apply new skills in a collaborative, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

Rising Junior or Senior.
Fundamental knowledge of automation and controls.
Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

Responsibilities

Learning automation/control and process fundamentals involved in steel making.
Maintenance/Engineering projects focused on safety, cost, and reliability.
Preventive & predictive maintenance programs and routines.
Routine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment and process related issues.
Learning and applying new skills in automation, controls, power transmission and pneumatics.
