Job summary

Dorsett Controls is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager (Automation Controls) in Layton, UT to lead on-site construction activities for HVAC and building automation programs. You will coordinate automation technicians, subcontractors, and client project managers to ensure schedule, budget, and quality goals are met.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance with codes, and clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a construction supervisory role with knowledge of construction processes, tools and materials.
• 2+ years’ experience in HVAC temperature controls or building automation.
• Ability to travel up to 40% to support project execution and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction sites and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Lead site meetings to communicate updates, issues, and expectations.
• Process RFIs, submittals and other construction documents for project execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes and industry standards.
• Manage schedules, budgets and track project costs; prepare progress reports.
