Job summary
Entegris in Billerica, MA seeks an Automation & Controls Engineering Co-Op for the Spring 2027 season. This 6-month on-site position offers hands-on experience with PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and equipment commissioning in a high-tech manufacturing setting.
You will work under a Lead Automation & Controls Engineer, gaining exposure to real-world projects and continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls/Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Strong interest in industrial automation, controls, and manufacturing systems.
- Familiarity with PLC concepts and HMI/SCADA systems through coursework or internships.
Responsibilities
- Assist with design, integration, and documentation of automation systems and controls.
- Support PLC logic development and HMI interface updates to improve OEE.
- Participate in risk assessments, safety validations, and compliance checks.
- Contribute to development and testing of automated inspection systems using vision, sensors, and gauging.
