Job summary
BOS Innovations in Lexington, KY is seeking an Applications Engineering Specialist to partner with the Sales Team and customers to develop automation concepts and well-packaged quotations. You will review requirements, analyze production processes, and design mechanical concepts and BOMs for automation projects. Location: Lexington, KY.
Employment Type: Full Time. Department: Engineering. Wage: $50/hr – $64/hr.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, mechanical design, automation, systems integration, or custom machinery.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks with experience developing mechanical concepts, layouts, and BOMs.
Responsibilities
- Follow sales processes to create quotations and win business.
- Develop mechanical concepts and BOMs at cell and station levels.
- Coordinate with customers and suppliers to understand needs and costs.
- Support costing for quotes and present budgets to customers.
- Mentor BOS employees and share knowledge to improve the team.
