Job summary
Milacron in Batavia, OH is seeking an Automation Application Engineer to program, integrate, commission, and support automation systems for injection molding machine applications. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, and engineering teams to ensure successful project implementation and startup.
You will travel extensively to support installations, startups, training, and service requirements while advocating best practices in automation standards and programming methods.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification in automation, robotics, or controls.
- 3+ years in industrial automation or related manufacturing environments.
- Experience with field installations, commissioning, equipment startup, and customer support.
- Willingness to travel ~35%+ based on project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with automation suppliers and customers to deliver integrated automation solutions for injection molding machines.
- Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup of injection molding machines and automation systems.
- Program, install, and commission robotic and automation systems at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot automation, controls, and equipment issues in plant and field environments.
- Document programming activities, commissioning reports, installation procedures, and technical changes.
