  • Professional certifications or technical accreditations in automation/controls are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
  • Design, develop, and enhance automation solutions and investigate downtime/quality deviations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, digitalization, and automation equipment to ensure reliability.
  • Manage automation applications, hardware, and change management per site policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of electrical, automation, and process control documentation and records.
  • Develop and execute automation and capital improvement projects, including scope, schedules, budgets, and technical specs.
  • Oversee equipment installations and modifications while ensuring NFPA, OSHA, BASF, and other safety standards.

We are seeking an Automation & Instrumentation Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance electrical, instrumentation, and process automation systems across the site. In this role, you will provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and reliability improvement efforts, lead automation and digitalization projects, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems, including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, MCCs, sensors, valves, motors, Wonderware System Platform, and related software applications.
  • Designing, developing, and enhancing automation solutions while investigating equipment downtime and quality deviations to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, digitalization, and automation equipment to ensure system reliability and optimal performance.

  • Possess relevant professional certifications or technical accreditations in automation, controls, instrumentation, project management, or related fields, which are considered a plus.
