Job summary

  • Maintain instruments and calibration records; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

  • Developing innovative methods to isolate and analyze additives, transformation products, and impurities in plastics.
  • Applying expertise in analytical chemistry and chromatography to separate, identify, and quantify additives in polymeric materials.
  • Conducting migration studies in compliance with global food contact and drinking water regulations.
  • Managing technical project requests in collaboration with Global Application Colleagues to resolve customer-related product issues.
  • Communicating effectively within cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and deliverables.
  • Maintaining analytical instruments through service contracts and calibration recordkeeping.
  • Ensuring safety and regulatory compliance by following lab protocols and participating in audits for ISO 9001, Responsible Care, and OSHA VPP standards.

  • Hold a degree in chemistry—bachelor’s with 10 years, master’s with 5 years, or PhD with 2 years of experience in analytical chemistry.
  • Possess proven expertise in developing methods for both liquid and gas chromatography.
  • Bring hands‑on experience working with plastic additives or similar complex material systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently under broad objectives and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • Maintain strong proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and LIMS, with preferred knowledge of Empower Chromatography Data System.
