Job summary

Moxie Pest Control is seeking a Data/Systems Engineer to join a small, fast-moving Data and Engineering team. You will own hands-on data pipelines, Python automation, and AI agent initiatives, partnering with engineers to reduce manual work.

You’ll work with Dagster or Airflow for pipelines, SQL Server, and BI handoffs, contributing to monitoring, data quality, and scalable solutions across the company.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of experience in data/systems engineering or related automation role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Solid working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines with orchestration tools (Dagster or Apache Airflow).
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, able to work independently or in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Python scripting for data manipulation, task automation, and integration with data platforms and APIs.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines; build Python-based automations to streamline workflows.
• Add automated testing and basic auditing to data solutions.
• Design automations and AI agents to reduce manual work across business processes.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Dagster; ensure reliability, scalability, and data quality.
• Collaborate with BI and Fabric environment teams for data handoffs and solutions.
