Automatic Screw Machine Operator - 1st Shift (Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire)

?? Location: New Berlin

?? Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

? Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

?? Steel-toe boots required

About the Job:

We are looking for an Automatic Screw Machine Operator to set up and operate Brown & Sharpe or similar single-spindle automatic screw machines. If you have experience with screw machines and machining metal materials, this could be a great opportunity for you!

What You'll Do:

?? Read blueprints or job orders to determine specifications (dimensions, tolerances, materials, etc.).

?? Set up and operate automatic screw machines with proper tooling, cutting speeds, and feed rates.

?? Load bar stock into the machine and adjust cams, gears, and stops.

?? Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.

?? Troubleshoot machine issues and perform preventive maintenance.

?? Maintain a clean and organized work area.

?? Follow safety and ISO guidelines.

What You Need:

? High school diploma or equivalent.

? Experience operating screw machines and understanding how they work.

? Ability to read and use micrometers, calipers, height stands, and comparators.

? Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing).

? Ability to interpret instructions from blueprints, written, or oral sources.

? Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting programming, tooling, and material issues.

? Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.

? Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment near moving machinery, oils, and solvents.
