Job summary

Via Logic LLC in Huntsville, AL is looking for a 2nd shift Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) Technician to join their team specialized in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s).

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and 2-4 years of relevant SMT experience. Responsibilities include inspecting PCBA’s under a microscope and reviewing AOI defects. The position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have 2-4 years of SMT or related electronics assembly experience.
• Must be a US Citizen and eligible for Secret Clearance.
• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect PCBA’s under a microscope.
• Review AOI defects and rework PCBA’s as needed.
• Work independently with limited supervision.

Leidos Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking an 2nd shift Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) Technician to join a team that runs Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment producing Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s).

Primary Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of Printed Circuit Board (PCBA) Inspection criteria for Class 3 PCBA’s
• Working under a microscope
• Review AOI defects and rework/touch‑up PCBA’s when needed
• Works to achieve day‑to‑day objectives and have significant impact on the work output.
• Works independently under limited supervision
• Work in team environment and interacting with different functions, project teams and production teams

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2‑4 years Surface Mount Technology experience or related electronics assembly experience
• Knowledge of SMT processes used to build Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
• Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions
• Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or prior certification in IPC‑A‑610.
• Current or prior certification in J‑STD‑001.
• Experience using Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) to inspect PCBA’s
• Experience with Koh Young Zenith AOI
• Experience using X‑ray to inspect PCBA’s
