Job summary

Piedmont Door Solutions is seeking an Automatic Door Repair and Install Technician to support middle and south Florida. You will repair, maintain, and install doors on-site in commercial buildings, hospitals, stores, and more, leveraging your background in residential or commercial doors and related trades.

The role emphasizes hands-on training, use of tools and equipment provided by the company, and collaboration with office staff to schedule parts and service time.

Qualifications

• We are seeking candidates with automatic door or related experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with power and hand tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to install, repair, and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products.
• Take initiative and assist in projects in a high-expectation, low-supervision environment.
• Learn techniques from your trainer and grow your existing skills.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional worksite and take pride in workmanship.
• Coordinate with office staff to order and track parts, materials, and service time.

Piedmont Door Solutions is looking for an Automatic Door Repair and Install Technician to support middle and south Florida. Our technicians repair, maintain, and install doors on location in commercial buildings, hospitals, stores, and more. We’re looking for someone with a background in residential or commercial doors, garage doors, construction, military, electrical work, fabrication, access control, glazing, carpentry, mechanical, installing or servicing products, or any other skilled trade. Piedmont Door Solutions provides the necessary training, tools, equipment, and vehicles.

In this role you will...

• Learn to be a Piedmont Door Technician: Install, repair, and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products
• Take initiative: Proactively assist in projects, demonstrating autonomy in a high-expectation, low-supervision environment to drive project success.
• Learn and adapt: Embrace the opportunity to learn techniques from your trainer, building on existing skills and showing a desire to grow.
• Maintain professional worksite: Ensure a clean, organized, and professional worksite, paying attention to detail, taking pride in workmanship, and solving problems for customers.
• Work with office staff: Order and track parts, materials, and time spent on services.

You've Got What It Takes If You Have...

We are searching for someone with automatic door or similar experience. Candidates should have a good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, problem solving and diagnostic skills and be familiar with power and hand tools.

Candidates must have a clean criminal and motor vehicle record. . Yearly flu shots and TB tests are required.

LOCATION

Piedmont Door Solutions has businesses and role openings in Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Lake Worth, FL; and Dallas and Houston, TX. Depending on which location you choose, you may have to drive up to 2 hours to job sites.
