Job summary

Overhead Door Corporation in Durham, NC seeks an Automatic Door Installer to help install and service state-of-the-art automatic doors across multiple sites. You will assist with site preparation, take measurements, and perform framing and build-ins to ensure project completion.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in the automatic door industry; electrical background preferred. You will work with experienced technicians, follow safety policies, and deliver excellent customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in glass and aluminum storefronts preferred.
• Electrical background preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Automatic Door Industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of automatic doors, operators and related equipment.
• Survey and prepare worksite location for installation, including measurements and alterations.
• Perform construction-related work such as framing and built-ins.
• Support safety program and follow safety policies on site, in warehouse and office.
• Verify tools and equipment are functional and available prior to starting work.
• Document work to be performed and review with the customer.
• Oversee care and maintenance of equipment, tools and company vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of parts in company vehicles to ensure availability for work.
• Represent Door Services with customers in a professional manner.
