Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience developing, testing, and qualifying complex electromechanical systems in relevant industries.
• Experience with electrical systems, controls integration, instrumentation, automation, and validation.
• Proven ability to design, build, instrument, and commission custom test equipment including sensors, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and data acquisition.
• Experience leading performance and qualification testing including functional, reliability, thermal, environmental, fault-mode, and system-level validation.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control panel design, wiring practices, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency with PLC-based controls, test automation, communication protocols, and control logic for automated sequences.
• Strong data acquisition and analysis skills including sensor selection, calibration, data logging, and post-processing.
• Ability to document and communicate test plans and results to teams and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own hands-on testing and validation of CDUs and subsystems, including electrical systems and instrumentation.
• Design, build, instrument, and operate automated test systems to evaluate controls, electrical performance, and thermofluid behavior.
• Develop and maintain PLC-based controls, electrical architectures, instrumentation, and data acquisition for development, qualification, and production testing.
• Execute test plans, analyze results, and provide data-driven feedback to multiple engineering teams.
• Support product development by translating test data into actionable design improvements and validation evidence.
• Improve lab capabilities by enhancing automation, controls, instrumentation, and test coverage.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause investigations across development, qualification, production, and field issues.
• Support specification, integration, and validation of sensors, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, networks, and control components.
