SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team at NSWC Dahlgren Division, VA.

The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks that align with requirements, while performing both manual and automated testing across multiple levels. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in software/testing, strong Linux and C++ awareness, and solid requirements traceability with DOORS, Jira, and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience.
Experience writing/running automation scripts or code.
Comfortable reviewing C++ code and working with Linux systems.
Experience linking requirements to test cases and managing test artifacts.
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
Interface with government customers daily; occasionally present testing documentation.
