Job summary

Qualifications

• Design automated tests by creating scripts that run database testing functions.
• Prioritize test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios.
• Create test plans, test cases, and prepare test environments.
• Perform moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing.
• Understand software development life cycle and methodologies.
• Interpret requirement documents and update test documents accordingly.
• Strong analytical, planning, and management reporting skills.
• Acquire knowledge of the Customer's business in assigned area.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work with Customer during test cycle.
• Excellent analytical; problem-solving; team playing; and oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Preferred Experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and templates.
• Familiarity with the company's information architecture and information management methodologies.
• Familiarity with existing and planned software technology and the global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans and test cases for database applications.
• Perform functional, performance, and regression testing on various databases.
• Identify, document, and report defects and issues found during testing.
• Work with development and database administration teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain automated scripts for database testing.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across various database systems.
• Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather testing requirements and objectives.
