Job summary

Richardson International in Winchester, VA, is hiring a Press Operator to run and troubleshoot automated equipment that mixes, extrudes, and dries pasta at our Ronzoni production line. You will operate presses, monitor parameters, and ensure product quality while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires basic computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required to qualify for the role.
• Ability to respond quickly to alarms and troubleshoot issues.
• Good communication with team and other staff.
• Basic computer skills required for record keeping.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, start up, and shut down press and drying systems to meet product specs.
• Adjust recipes, extrusion patterns, and drying parameters to ensure product quality.
• Perform die and format changes, setup, and die wash operations with lifting equipment.
• Identify alarms or defects and escalate issues as needed to minimize downtime.
• Clean, sanitize, disassemble, and reassemble presses and related equipment per GMPs.
• Complete downtime and process logs, changeover records, and product specs documentation.
• Maintain housekeeping and attend to safety standards and team communication.
