Job summary

Red River Commodities is seeking a Technical Machine Operator to operate and maintain automated packaging lines in a food production facility in Fargo, ND.

You will set up lines, monitor quality, perform changeovers, and coordinate with maintenance and QA to ensure safety and efficiency. The role requires physical stamina and strict adherence to GMP, HACCP, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience operating automated machinery in food manufacturing or packaging.
• Ability to read production schedules, SOPs, and equipment manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic computer/HMI operation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Set up automated packaging line, film, and sealing equipment according to production schedules and product specifications.
• Perform line changeovers, including adjustments for necessary packaging films, fill weights, and labeling requirements.
• Start, operate, and shut down machinery following established SOPs.
• Monitor fill weights, torque levels, seal integrity, and overall packaging quality throughout the production run.
• Document production data, lot numbers, and quality checks in real time.
• Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime and coordinate with maintenance.
